This felt like PTA’s version of inside llewyn davis. A movie so normal that it becomes one of the weirdest things you’ve ever seen. Masterfully constructed and beautifully shot, but just kinda meanders around the whole time and never feels like it has anything important to say. But that’s all on purpose somehow? Maybe?
